Christmas Update! ...A Little Late

I got in trouble by Elder Freeze for not updating his blog enough... oops.

Well Matt is LOVING being out of the MTC and in the field. He's currently serving in Hendersonville, right outside of Nashville. His companion is Elder Sorenson, who just so happens to be the son of one of my dad's favorite companions when he served in Sweden over 30 years ago...talk about crazy coincidence!! He and Elder Sorenson get along really well and they're hoping to stay together for at least another transfer. We got to skype with Matt on Christmas...well my family skyped, mostly I just cried. But he seemed liked he's never been happier and he had a bunch of fun stories to tell us. (My personal favorite: He's teaching a man named James Potter.)

Finally we've received word from Elder Freeze!

-Not a moment too soon; Sandi was about to go nuts.

He's loving life in the MTC and has already been made District Leader. He gets along well with his companion, and elder from Idaho preparing to serve in Mississippi. He said his companion talks quite a bit, but it's helping him open up a lot more so he loves it. He sees his best friend Elder May almost everyday, and said sometimes running into people from high school makes him feel like he's at some kind of seminary camp. That's about all he shared with us (curse of the Freeze boys, they're hopeless when it comes to detailed letters..) He also wanted me to tell everyone to keep the letters coming, so here's his MTC address:
